This session was built in collaboration with the research team at the Inquisitor’s Palace. The working group from Compagnia San Michele who are undertaking the narrative and thematic element of the international event discussed cases that had been heard within the Castellinia (the INquisitors Palace) between the years 1565 and 1573.
Between both teams, a narrative was built on highlighting the cosmopolitan elements of the harbour area. We have also chosen to depict the more mundane side of past life as a way to increase relatability between the historical interpretation and the museum user. This way we aim to make history accessible as we show that people in the past had similar obstacles in life as we do nowadays.
At the end of the session the group went round the palace and identified a path with which activities will be taking place on the 21st of October. This has helped the logistical team to outline a clearer program of events for the day.
