Malta was known for its cotton production throughout its Medieval and Early Modern history. This topic was the center of the hands-on component of the session. Participants got to handle natural cotton grown locally, processing it and then planting their own seeds to take home. As part of the session, the children were given a bookmark with instructions on how to take care of the seedling.
